My name is Jacob, and I have been a Web Designer since 1999. It started as a hobby when I went to a teen center in Santa Fe, NM called "Warehouse 21." I took HTML & Graphic Design Lessons, and really learned a lot of useful information from professionals working in the field.

In 2005, I went and studied Multimedia Production, Web Development, and Graphic Design at Butte College near Chico, CA. I learned Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash and Final Cut. Because of my previous experience with HTML and Photoshop, I had a jump start. Those classes really helped me take my skills to the next level.

After that, I moved to Hawaii and started doing web development professionally. I worked as a freelancer on Kauai and Maui for 6 years getting most of my jobs by word-of-mouth. Then, I met the founder of a music festival called, "Mystic Garden Party," while I was on Maui. I came back to the Westcoast and landed a position working as their IT Sp\ecialist for the summer.

Fall 2009, I moved to North Carolina, and I am very happy to now be an Asheville web designer, and serve the local community. This is a really cool place to be. All the great things I heard about it were true. It's a really beautiful place, and a happening art/music scene.

I'm also a musician, producer and DJ. I've joined a band here in Asheville called Nataraj. It's been a great summer, and we've had a lot of fun gigs around town. You can check out my original music/mixes on my website: www.intuitivebeats.com
